Raise'24 didn't just happen, there were A LOT of meetings, calls, e-mails (oh, so many e-mails!) and lots of soul-searching but we did it! Plunkett UK is a UK-wide charity that supports rural communities to save much-loved and much-needed community assets such as village pubs and shops, through community ownership. Gemma heads up the charity's partnerships with a range of corporate supporters which helps fund the ongoing expert advice and guidance Plunkett provides to more than 800 trading community-owned businesses, as well as a further 500 community groups that are actively striving to set-up and run their own community business.
OCF is a charity that improves lives and tackles inequality by investing in Oxfordshire’s dynamic charitable sector, awarding around £2 million in grants annually. OCF brings an in-depth understanding of our county’s needs, alongside trusted relationships with grassroots delivery charities and community groups. Kate works with generous individuals and businesses in the county to channel their philanthropic funding to the areas of greatest need in the county. She ensures OCF is providing a top-notch service to donors and funders, matching them to small charities that are tackling issues such as homelessness, debt, food poverty, disability, mental ill health, crime, unemployment and lack of opportunity.
